Thanks to another fallout from the Trumpit Effect, the left lost a media war where they had all of the advantages. Their control of the media has always been their greatest advantage, but now they have no choice but to smear the sources on the internet that defeated their “fake news” network. The irony is obvious. The left lives by “fake” news, of which David Brock is the queen, so now they have to destroy anyone who provides the real news. Thanks to the alternative “news-sphere”.
Thanks to The Trumpit, who took them all to task yesterday, in an impromptu gathering in his Trump Tower boardroom, and it sounds very much like they all left having been tarred and feathered in a somewhat spectacular fashion. “Trump started with [CNN chief] Jeff Zucker and said ‘I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed,’ ” according to the New York Post (see link at bottom). “The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks.”[end]. To read full story go to the link at bottom.
In the meantime, I read the other day that some leftists think Drudge defeated Hillary. They’ve wanted to destroy him forever, but it wasn’t just Drudge, though he does deserve immense credit. Hillary’s downfall was thanks to a death by a thousand cuts. The National Enquirer for instance, was brutal to Hillary, and Julian Assange fired relentless, point-blank-range broadsides at her. The problem for her was that the fake news network couldn’t effectively block all of the incoming fire.
So an outright attack on the internet by the left was only a matter of time, since too much truth can travel way too fast for their liking. Thanks to the internet, because it has become the ultimate venue for free speech and is very democratic in nature. The left only likes democracies it can control, which is why Obama turned the internet over to the UN; perhaps another Obama faux pas that the Trumpit can bring back under our control.
One of the biggest battles we will face in the immediate future is preserving access to all the alternate fiery news sources like Drudge, FrontPageMagazine, American Thinker, Washington Beacon, etc., etc. The left has made clear what it wants to destroy next since they know their fake news won’t prevail when the truth is so readily accessible.
In the meantime, a couple of pieces I’ve been sitting on for a week or two; Jefferson’s take on immigration which is so relevant to today’s situation, (especially with these egregious “sanctuary cities” in play) and a long-delayed Hymn of Thanksgiving to God’s delivering us in no uncertain fashion, from the Obama/Killary tyranny. The fact that it is merely two days to Thanksgiving Thursday is purely coincidental (sarc). Perhaps the most important Thanksgiving Day in the past 50+ years.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:6-7
Civil government being the sole object of forming societies, its administration must be conducted by common consent.
Every species of government has its specific principles. Ours perhaps are more peculiar than those of any other in the universe. It is a composition of the freest principles of the English constitution, with others derived from natural right and natural reason.To these nothing can be more opposed than the maxims of absolute monarchies. Yet from such we are to expect the greatest number of emigrants. They will bring with them the principles of the governments they leave, imbibed in their early youth; or, if able to throw them off, it will be in exchange for an unbounded licentiousness, passing, as is usual, from one extreme to another. It would be a miracle were they to stop precisely at the point of temperate liberty.
These principles, with their language, they will transmit to their children. In proportion to their numbers, they will share with us the legislation. They will infuse into it their spirit, warp and bias its directions, and render it a heterogeneous, incoherent, distracted mass.
I may appeal to experience, during the present contest, for a verification of these conjectures. But, if they be not certain in event; are they not possible, are they not probable? Is it not safer to wait with patience 27 years and three months longer, for the attainment of any degree of population desired or expected? May not our government be more homogeneous, more peaceable, more durable?
Suppose 20 millions of republican Americans thrown all of a sudden into France, what would be the condition of that kingdom? If it would be more turbulent, less happy, less strong, we may believe that the addition of half a million of foreigners to our present numbers would produce a similar effect here. – – (Notes on Virginia I, Correspondence 1780-1782)
And my long-delayed Hymn of Thanksgiving for our Deliverance. Indeed, a glorious American anthem, if not THE most glorious. No offense, of course, to Mr. Francis Scott Key. Just reveling in the chorale is spine-tingling enough. Boom it out to all the rioters. Boom it out to all the Leftists.
Boom it out to Big Media. Boom it out for America. Boom it out to the ceiling this Thanksgiving Day and let your voice be heard in the Heavenlies. And be sure to thank God for His magnanimous beneficence towards each and every one of us. God Bless America!
I have read His fiery gospel writ in rows of burnished steel!
“As ye deal with my condemners, so with you My grace shall deal!
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel, ”
Since God is marching on.
He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him; be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.
