Eric Utter, American Thinker: Most of us sense something is deeply wrong, yet we go about our lives as if nothing is awry. Robotically. On autopilot. Because we don’t know what else to do.
Radical “progressives” have seized control of everything. If we so much as challenge these Marxist wannabes or raise our voices, they accuse us of being bigoted violence-mongers, of treason, and of being a danger to “our democracy…” meaning their power. That is beyond preposterous coming from people who want to silence any opposition—and who despise everything on which the country was founded.
The elites who rule over us won’t secure our border– or do many other things most of us want them to do– so in a very real sense we have taxation without representation. We have come full circle and find ourselves in much the same position as our founders did almost 250 years ago. We know what the founders’ answer was. What will ours be? We know what they did? What will we do?
Can we match their wisdom—and courage? Is it even possible anymore? If we decide it isn’t, what does that say about the future, our children, posterity, freedom?
What does it say about us?
Lydia from comments thread: People think they can outlast the insanity, that somehow the world will right itself without being bothered to awaken from tryptophan slumbers. They see multiple crashes on the freeway, but will drive breezily by because someone else will clean up the mess. Until someone else doesn’t clean up the mess. Then they just avert their eyes and chant, I’m a safe driver, nothing will happen to me. Until one day the roads will be closed. Not just one but all the side roads too. Uh oh. But hey, there are boxcars waiting to to take them to their destination. Don’t worry, be happy. The government will take care of them. Oh yes, they will indeed take care of them.
Comes to mind from Dan Stewart from the same source: Ronald Reagan once famously said, “Recession is when your neighbor loses his job. Depression is when you lose yours.” It is human nature to distance yourself from what does not directly affect you or those close to you. I must ask, can we as a people be this indifferent? Are we so cynical and shallow that we cannot see the imminent danger that threatens our very civilization? Let’s face it, we are a nation in decline because Hell is empty, and all its demons are here among us. THAT!
One hundred years after the birth of the administrative state which was imposed on us by an elitist (and racist) college president by the name of Woodrow Wilson, socialism has officially arrived on American soil. The Marxist Frankfurt School’s long march through the institutions has won. America, as a Constitutional Republic, is about to be dumped on the ash-heap of history.
The tragic irony is that all the woke useful idiots will have sold their souls to the sociopaths and perverts that now pull the strings of our government. They will find out that the promised woke paradise is a lie. A very effective lie because so-called progressives successfully erased the history of their policies and the mayhem that follows. And when the useful idiots finally wake up to the destruction of our republic, they will find that they too will be pushed into reeducation camps to be tortured into submission. [end]
This is what we are facing today in what was once the land of the free and the home of the brave. Don’t fall for the lies of the evil spirit of the age when it spreads the notion that politics and religion don’t mix. Instead, shout your opposition to the ungodly state of our culture and the political rot it has spawned. The hue and cry should start at the pulpit and spread to every other institution throughout the land. If your pastor or congregation objects, then make the case to any who will listen. If that does not work, then kick the dust from your feet and find those that will listen. God-fearing men and women brought this nation into existence and only a God-fearing people can save it.
Postscript: A government in full control is like a fire out of control – it consumes everything!
And on that note, time for today’s MAGA Pill – President Donald John Trump – MAGA! KAG!
Eric Utter, American Thinker: Something is very wrong – what now?
