Susan Cook: Why we fail
Picture a scenario similar to that before WWII. Imagine if things went differently. Suppose, just for grins & giggles, we heard that Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was attacked on Sunday, December 7, 1941 by the Japanese Empire. In response, FDR goes on the radio and announces the attack was exacerbated by Republican intransigence on “Fair Trade” legislation currently winding its way through Congress. Further, FDR informs the people that the Republican establishment has allied itself with Hitler in trying to stop the government overreach by the FDR Administration, forcing FDR to enlist the help of the USSR..
What do you think the result would be? Would the nation be united? Do you think the two political parties could unite into a resolute force to stop Japanese aggression? If we’re being honest, of course we wouldn’t. The reality is the pieces of the puzzle have been changed and re-arranged but the urgency that the nation shared in 1941 is just as palpable today. Do we gather together to form a united front? No! Instead we are more than willing to let Trump drain all his resources in an effort to repulse the onslaught arraigned against him. That is where our weakest link is.
Yes, he’s not the best. Yes, he’s kind of crude, rude and has an attude; but don’t you think he needs to be able to respond in kind to all the vitriol thrown his way? Do you really think acting like crabs in a cage, pulling down any attempts to escape, is a winning strategy? In a sane world, the entire GOP would have closed ranks around Trump and formed a wall around him, stating: “You will go no further until this immoral charade is ended!”
That would have been the moral thing to do. That would have been the logical thing to do. If they go for one of us, they go for all of us. But we don’t. We just think, “Too Bad. So Sad!!!” and push our flavor of the month to the front of the line. But it won’t work. That’s why we fail.
But I digress.
We have a real issue and crisis, now. We’ve already been invaded! Our government is almost full-on Communist. The 2020/2022 elections were rigged; Crime (a feature of communism) is through the roof; innocent people have been imprisoned for just protesting against the corrupt politicians; our borders are wide open with efforts to allow these illegal aliens the vote; spending is through the roof (and it will only get worse), and the full power of the fledgling communist community of state and media is arrayed against the one front runner that has the wherewithal to destroy it.
This is a global issue, too! Events in Ecuador, Poland and Sweden are beginning to further escalate. This will not end well. With all of that, we are focused on shiny baubles and carrots which is why we will fail. THAT!

Then there’s Lydia from the comments thread: One thing about the Democrats, they would rather hang together than hang separately. I like Trump and DeSantis. This is the Primary season. We have not seen any debate between Trump and DeSantis thus far. With the world in flames, I believe Trump knows best how to mitigate Biden’s disasters. Unfortunately, he can’t do it alone, without at least without some cooperation from Congress and a bureaucracy filled with Deep State anti-Americans, including the military.
Depending on the makeup of the House and Senate, cooperation could be impossible. Has anyone noticed all the recent resignations of Republican House members? If the House belongs to Democrats again in 2025, we’ll see a repeat of impeachment hearings from the get-go, not to mention Leftist street riots. It will be even uglier than the last time.
I’m fully aware of all the counter arguments. The same would happen to DeSantis. Yes, it likely would, but would the American public, sans media inspired TDS, accept the scorched earth antics of the Democrats again? Maybe. Who will be the VP candidate for Trump or DeSantis? Who will comprise the cabinet in a Trump administration or a DeSantis administration? We learned the last time around how important the people working in the WH are, particularly the chief of staff.
I will vote for the Republican candidate. That is yet to be decided, and the mid-July Republican Convention is still 6 months away. A final choice will be made then. And I hope to God we can all put aside our differences and unite behind whoever is NOT the Democrat candidate or we will indeed hang separately. THAT!

To which Rudy Yarborough responds: I’m fully aware of all the counter arguments. The same would happen to DeSantis. Yes, it likely would, but would the American public, sans media inspired TDS, accept the scorched earth antics of the Democrats again? One doesn’t think so because their backgrounds are so different.
DeSantis came from a middle class family and worked his way through college and then went into the military. He was elected to Congress and then became the governor of FL. He has never been accused of cheating on his wife or having wild sex-capades with porn stars. He has never declared bankruptcy or been sued for assault in a women’s dressing room. As far as we all know he has never grabbed a woman by her pu**y or sniffed her shoes. He has been married one time and seems to love his wife. Sure the msm would go after him, but it would be mostly policy and technical issues not like Trump.
Bottom line is best article of the year so far and most important for ALL AT readers to read slowly, consider, and ponder. Is Steve McCann right or is he an evil RINO traitor whose vote we would never want anyway because he is probably being paid by Black Rock and the rest of the Deep State to take down Donald Trump? Surely not THAT!
