A Sterling Example Laid Bare : Hypocritical Theater

Go Ahead, Make ...

Go Ahead, Make …

A sterling example laid bare. Excuse the obvious pun, but I’m always tempted to burst out laughing when I see the “righteous left” focused on attempting to solve a problem that cannot be solved outside of outlawing free will and littering the streets with bodies. I’m amazed even more to witness millionaire adult children (whose only claim to fame is their ability to bounce a weighted ball with their hands) play a child’s game better than someone else, then see them complain about the “racist” views of the person that gave them a chance to crawl out of the gutter of a life most came from.

Outside of their ability to play ball, most of these so called aggrieved professional athletes would be laid out deadly supine on their backs in some southside of Chicago morgues as one destination, with state or federal prison most likely another. What was it one of the self-appointed aggrieved millionaires said (one, Larry Johnson) they need a black league? Why? Because the guy who signs your paycheck called you a name that every one of your team mates calls you nearly every hour of every day, or because you wear your racism on your sleeve 24/7?

I’d like to see that suggestion put into practice for the five minutes it would last. Rome is burning while the guy occupying We The People’s house fiddles and diddles his way through his ineptitude, and modern day media-created millionaire gladiators worry about the private views of an old rapscallion who doesn’t seem to have a problem signing their multi-million-dollar paychecks on time every month for part time work.

The private lives of many of these part-time gladiators are the very subjects the leagues spend time and effort on keeping out of the media as it is; a sterling example laid bare yet again. Attempting to cure what many call “racism” is like trying to stop the sun from rising each morning. None of them will ever be out of work or remembered for actually accomplishing anything consistent with human endeavors, yet some might end up infamous like all those that have come before who tried to shape humanity in the image they wish it to be at a very great cost.

If one wishes not to be the butt of so many stereotypes it would likely help if one stopped being a butt on command like a talking parrot. We all know this is all about money and politics and not about any actual discrimination. Millionaires complaining about the views of an 80 year old owner while living in their summer villas in some gated community? Most of these pampered children would last about a day in Africa or some other sub-continental divide after having said the wrong thing about the current dictator for life. Or worse still, end up like one Dennis (or is it now Denise?) Rodman cozying his fried brain up to the demonic dictator of North Korea; can we say a sterling example laid bare.

Where southside Chicago looks safe by comparison the “race” industry would starve to death trying to generate a living off all the grievances that have no importance in Africa going back centuries, yet where someone from the ‘hood can make it big in the NBA, NFL, MLB and make millions a year plus promotional contracts, yet all we hear about is “racism”, as if the mere mention of the word equates to millions in chains and bodies stacked up as far as the eye can see. The last time I looked at Federal stats the tens of millions in chains here are self-imposed and the stacked up bodies aren’t the result of anyone’s racist views but the cultural values of a people who have a serious problem when dealing with their own self destructive ways. Old Mr. Sterling hasn’t killed anyone as far as I can tell, nor have his views kept any of the aggrieved millionaires from making more money from one game than most Americans make in a year. Yeah, let’s see that all-black league real soon now and see how it survives; no racism there, but a sterling example laid bare.

Those running the racial industry who seek to stifle free will and expression, will never be out of work and never be remembered for accomplishing anything of substance either. The double standard here drips with more than stupefying sarcastic virulence.

Sharpton’s racism got someone killed as I remember; a sterling example laid bare.

Jeffrey Lord takes it from here …

Donald Sterling. Al Sharpton. One famous mostly in the precincts of Los Angeles, real estate, and sports. The other a household name.

Here’s the first man, quoted talking to a potential Clippers coach in 1983, as reported over at Deadspin, which has published what it calls “Your Complete Guide to Decades of Donald Sterling’s Racism”: “I wanna know why you think you can coach these ni–ers.”

And here’s Al Sharpton talking about then-New York Mayor David Dinkins, as wasreported in this space: “David Dinkins.… You wanna be the only ni–er on television, the only ni–er in the newspaper, the only ni–er to talk.…Don’t cover them, don’t talk to them, cause you got the only ni–er problem….”

So it is nothing if not fitting to know the Los Angeles Chapter of the NAACP was set to honor both Donald Sterling and Al Sharpton — together — at a dinner on May 15, as theLos Angeles Times reported here. Sterling was set for a Lifetime Achievement Award and Sharpton for a “Person of the Year” award.

Now comes Sterling’s latest, a taped string of racial insults — and the NAACP is giving him the heave ho. But Sharpton? His lifetime of racialism nobody seems to mind. Only the other day Mr. Obama and his attorney general appeared at a gathering of — yes — Al Sharpton’s National Action Network.

And let’s recall: Just a few weeks back liberals were applauding Mozilla for dumping CEO Brendan Eich for making a $1,000 contribution to California’s Prop 8 that banned same-sex marriage. For this Eich was condemned as an anti-gay bigot. Yet, as we documented in the story in this space linked above, there is Al Sharpton big as life on video tape charging a TV audience member and bellowing: “You ain’t nothing, you a punk faggot. Now come on, do something!”

In spite of this, Sharpton gets his own MSNBC TV show, the president of the United States and the attorney general of the United States show up at his meetings, and the NAACP bestows on him an award. In a world of hypocrisies this one is hard to top.

But the Left will give it the yeoman try, as they always do. So let’s get to it. And the volunteer to step forward here is… Michael Tomasky over at the Daily Beast. As many have pointed out, Sterling contributed to two Democratic campaigns years ago, but Tomasky writes that — gasp! — Sterling is a registered Republican! Ohhhhhhhh the humanity!
