Back in November of 1993, long before the advent of the spurious Black Lives Matter movement, the black-on-black killings in Chicago were the subject of a famous column by Mike Royko, of the Chicago Tribune, titled “Politically Incorrect, But Right on Target.”
In it, Royko praises Jesse Jackson of all people for calling attention to the black-on-black homicides in Chicago by reporting the famous Jackson quote:
“There is nothing more painful to me at this stage of my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then I look around and see someone white and feel relieved”.
But the main thrust of the column is about the failure of government to be able to do anything about the problem and the need for people to act. The more relevant and important Jackson quote is:
“We’ve got the power right now to stop killing each other….There is a code of silence, based on fear. Our silence is a sanctuary for killers and drug dealers. There must be a market revolt. The victim has to rise up”.
That’s right. Jesse Jackson exhorting the blacks in Chicago to stop killing each other, to report crimes to the police, and to act to help themselves.
Which all acts as a perfect lead-in to Bill Whittle’s latest Firewall titled “Black Lives Matter Kills People”. Have a look and listen and I’ll come back on the other side…
Now, 23 years later, the carnage in Chicago reflected by the black-on-black crime numbers is the big daily news. Inner city crime aka murder is a direct result of a culture that promotes violence and crime. It is a culture that claims victim-hood as a birthright. When you are a victim you can and do justify any and all types of criminal behaviors from scams, to robbery to murder. A culture whose music celebrates the gang-banger lifestyle while labeling women b*****s and makes heroes out of cop killers. A culture where there is no intact family unit, where raising feral young men by mothers without a man in the house is the norm. It is part of inner city life to claim that those who want an education are “acting white” and “snitches get stitches” is the watchword for all.
Obama has done nothing about the Chicago carnage. He was a community organizer in Chicago, a state representative, and a U.S. senator for Illinois, before being elevated to the presidency. Yet what has he done or said about the carnage except to call for even stricter gun controls than Chicago already has? Jesse Jackson said more in his comments 23 years ago than Obama has said in 23 years as a representative of the city and as president. Similarly, Hillary Clinton was co-president for eight years, U.S. senator from New York, secretary of state, and current candidate for the presidency, and she controls billions in the Clinton Foundation. Yet again, just what has she done or said about black-on-black crime? Again, nothing, except to blame guns and racism when convenient to push for more gun control.
As Bill Whittle so rightly points out in the video, Black Lives Matter is a DemoMarxist Party scam. It’s a combination street army, terrorist organization and voter turnout machine, and has killed and will continue to kill policemen, white people, Hispanics and Asians. Oh, and Black Lives Matter gets black people killed too.
The Democrats not only don’t care about all of this – they actually need to keep these fires burning down black neighborhoods in black cities so that soulless, shameless mediocrities like OBO the Clown Prince of Fools can go golfing in the Hamptons with his rich white friends, and Hillary Clinton can make $100 million dollars selling political influence for cash.
It’s blackmail. And it’s going to get bigger. And it’s going to keep coming.
