Yeah, yeah, yeah. Call me a cynic, but between Joe DiGenova and his wife Victoria Toensing on with Lou Dobbs last night (video link provided down below) the so-called IG report has all the value of a copy of the National Enquirer at your grocery-store checkout stand.
Some on the right (get ready for Hannity tonight getting giddy again) will say it’s ‘proof’ of something or other, as most on the left will ignore it or dismiss it as a nothingburger, while Comey will continue his ongoing effort to destroy the Trump administration as a free and unencumbered man.
Then it’ll be on to the next ‘scathing’ IG report, just like the last 100 ‘scathing’ IG reports that resulted in little if any change in our nation’s capital and the way the deep state swamp dwellers do business.
And while I think of it, whatever happened to the ‘findings’ of the John Huber investigation? Or is he still ‘investigating?’
And if I hear one more time that ‘AG Barr declined to prosecute because there are far worse FISA abuse charges coming’, I will no doubt unavoidably throw up. As I posted on my FB page this morning: “Ho Hum the witch ain’t dead. The long-awaited IG InGrate report is a nothing-nut. Now get back to your desk and shut the hell up.”
This is a prime example of what happens when lawyers become politicians. There are so many loopholes in the legislation they pass it’s almost impossible to enforce the law, except of course when it involves Republicans, who are always found guilty unless they can prove themselves innocent.

The DOJ Office of Inspector General has released an 83-page report on former FBI Director James Comey; outlining the inspector general investigative findings for how Mr. Comey handled sensitive information including personal memos about President Trump.
Selected excerpts from the report:
- Sundance highlights a critical difference in the report: Comey knew he would be breaking the law once he leaked, so to avoid potential prosecution, he hires his friend Richman, as a consultant, and also gives him a security clearance so there technically was no ‘leaking’. But, it’s clear Jimmy intended to subvert and skirt around the law. I still don’t understand why Barr elected not to prosecute on this specific case. Sad and very angry.
- I.G. says Comey set a dangerous example to 35,000 FBI employees. The DOJ just set a dangerous example to America. The “dangerous example” is not prosecuting him when other people without his connections would have been prosecuted. Unlike the cops who are fired for doing their job in snap decision on duty environments, this man walks while engaged in considered, pre-mediated, seditious activity in contravention of his job.
- When you get corrupt Democrats, and fake Republicans like Comey in power, we are in trouble. Comey demonstrates why we need virtuous leaders. He will lie and do anything for power and will never apologize or admit he’s wrong. It says that Comey consistently violated FBI policy, but nowhere does it say he broke the law. Therefore, no indictment. This is BS.

“We conclude that Comey’s retention, handling, and dissemination of certain Memos violated Department and FBI policies, and his FBI Employment Agreement.” (DOJ watchdog head Michael Horowitz’s report).
And yet, Comey wrote: “DOJ IG ‘found no evidence’ that Comey or his attorneys released any of the classified information contained in any of the memos to members of the media.”
So, since it wasn’t classified, Comey demands a full apology, if not a “we’re sorry we lied about you”, as if nothing is wrong here.
Actually Comey did violate the law. The report makes that clear. But compared to other things he has done, this is about the same level as jay-walking. Provided that Comey is later indicted and charged for much more serious offenses, it would be a waste of everyone’s time and patience to prosecute him for these relatively minor criminal acts.
But the patience of many, including yours truly, is wearing very thin. At the end of the day, prosecutions are needed to convince We the People that it won’t all be overlooked and forgotten yet again, only for it all to happen again too, too soon.
