Being, as I have, ensconced in my native Britain for the past couple of years on an extended stay, it has been a real eye-opener as to how easily swayed the general population mix can be as it relates to a ‘British’ Britain, an ‘all things but British’ Britain, and an out and out ‘nothing whatever British’ to do with Britain. Sound crazy? Well, to some of us (old timers, that is) yes. To others, I doubt very much that it gives them ulcers.
After all, this ‘Britain’ is a very faint shadow of what once was the trading and political power house not only of Europe, but of the entire planet. Even when the forces of darkest evil came against Britain in numerous wars, but more particularly in WWI and WWII, ‘Britannicus Maximus’ (generally referring to a particular breed of British Bulldog) reigned supreme.
Consider that currently, the US has guilt-ridden white liberals (read Marxist/communists) who lazily let everyone in and let everyone do whatever they want because of guilt-ridden angst over what our ancestors may or may not have done in the past.
Britain on the other hand, seems to have guilt-ridden white liberals (read Marxist/communists) that play the game of ‘we Colonized a good part of the world, and were so horrible in doing so that we have to let all our former colonists come to the UK and turn it into the cesspool they came from, just to teach the Brits a lesson’!
Interestingly enough, when Britain had those Colonies, they were relatively civilized countries (India as a prime example). When the Brits left, however, they turned back into the cesspools they were when the Brits first found them. How sad that the nation that gave us the Magna Carta, and established the rights of the people to live free, are now enslaving themselves to something far worse than the Anglo-Saxon-Norman monarchies of the past.
With an aging Queen and her more aging Consort rapidly approaching life’s departure from this realm, the current need is for much more than the anthem ‘God save the Queen/King’,
Seems to me to be time for another Great Awakening and Revival …
And did those feet in ancient time, Walk upon England’s mountains green: And was the holy Lamb of God, On England’s pleasant pastures seen!
And did the Countenance Divine, Shine forth upon our clouded hills? And was Jerusalem builded here, Among those dark Satanic Mills?
Bring me my Bow of burning gold; Bring me my Arrows of desire: Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold! Bring me my Chariot of fire!
I will not cease from Mental Fight, Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand: Till we have built Jerusalem, In England’s green and pleasant Land.
