Right then, what better way to sweeten the union/government symbiosis than to allow Congress to give it away in return for what – national control of the rail system at taxpayer’s expense? Yikes, since they did such a good job wrecking the supply-chain and ruining the economy over COVID – God alone knows what other shenanigans were taking place as well as not coming to grips with fixing the problems at the docks – whatever else could possibly go wrong?

If Congress wants to help this country, they would outlaw public sector unions; government take-over of private business (like student loans); and outlaw government intervention in the affairs of private sector unions which would die without it all; and we definitely don’t need self-serving government bureaucrats as arbiters to help this nation. Do nothing, or do less, or do less than nothing. Mmmm.

As John Galt was wont to express it, “get busy or get the hell outta my way”, and in the larger sphere, government must always get the hell out of the way of productive businesses, and businesses need to stop giving government large bribes in the form of “campaign contributions” so that they can enjoy a non-competitive environment. People speak as if the “wall of separation between church and state” is enshrined in the Constitution (it isn’t), but we really need a wall of separation between business and government. A big wall!

In the meantime “voter fraud and potentially illegal election practices in the United States”, a trend that first started in 2020 and continued into the midterms, has demoMarxocrats dismissing such claims despite overwhelming evidence gleaned from elsewhere. Please! Overwhelm us! The only ‘evidence’ we ever see is ephemeral, drifting away in the wind when you try to hold it in your hand. Or could it be the colossal grift movie, 2000 Fools? Perhaps it’s the ghost hunter who drove the ballots from New York to Pennsylvania? What about the glass that was broken FROM THE INSIDE? Mmmm, stuff exploding all over the place!

But back to the rail strike – how about the government just order the workers TO work and forbid them to strike with threats of prosecution and prison? Government after all just recently ordered people NOT to work with the shutdowns and threatened people who WANTED AND NEEDED to work with prosecution and prison. This is how commie totalitarian states conduct economies with total control and we are well on our way to that end. Consider…

On Monday, Joe Biden released a statement demanding that Congress take action to prevent a looming rail strike that threatens to derail the nation’s infrastructure ahead of Christmas.

As reported by Axios, Biden called on Congress to pass legislation that would force the rail unions to accept the terms of a deal that the administration had recently negotiated, after multiple unions voted against doing so.

“As a proud pro-labor President, I am reluctant to override the ratification procedures and the views of those who voted against the agreement,” the statement read. “But in this case — where the economic impact of a shutdown would hurt millions of other working people and families — I believe Congress must use its powers to adopt this deal.”

In response to Biden’s statement, outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) confirmed that the House will soon take up a vote to pass such legislation. Pelosi’s statement mirrored Biden’s, saying that she is “reluctant to bypass the standard ratification process for the tentative agreement — but we must act to prevent a catastrophic nationwide rail strike, which would grind our economy to a halt.”

“Our entire nation would suffer: more than 750,000 workers, including many union members, would lose their jobs in just the first two weeks,” Pelosi continued. “Millions of families wouldn’t be able to get groceries, medications and other goods, and our economy would be paralyzed as it continues to recover.”

If a compromise is not confirmed by December 9th and rail workers begin going on strike, then the shutdown of rail traffic across the country could cost at least $2 billion per day. Such a strike would halt the transportation of goods such as food, and could lead to another shortage at grocery stores throughout the country, similar to the supply chain crises earlier this year.
