There’s an interesting quote from president Trump when he was just another businessman plowing his way successfully forward in The Art of the Deal: ‘One of the problems when you become successful is that jealousy and envy inevitably follow. There are people – I categorize them as life’s losers – who get their sense of accomplishment and achievement from trying to stop others. As far as I’m concerned, if they had any real ability they wouldn’t be fighting me, they’d be doing something constructive themselves’.

BOOM !!

Dare I say that a successful businessman the likes of a Donald Trump – who, by the way (and let us never forget) refused to take a presidential salary, rather instead turning the $400,000 over to various and sundry causes, including the Veteran’s Admin – has eminently more ‘savvy’ in the successful achievement category than, say, career politicians spanning decades and decades sucking at the tits of government, the end result of which is nothing short of abject failure and deceit. And corruption.

Fast-forward to today and consider where substance ends and drama begins. Fighting over The Wall provides political fodder that will yield fruit for years to come. Meanwhile, back in the Swamp, they have this ‘baseline budgeting’ principle in which once something is funded, it remains funded. Forever.

This is especially true when the government reverts to funding by the oxymoronic ‘Continuing Resolution’, as it did repeatedly throughout Obama’s ‘got my phone and a pen’ debacle; and it will inevitably continue to resolve yet again.

On the other hand, President Trump knows precisely who and what he is dealing with – ie ‘Ditch’ McConnell and the rest of Congress. Have no doubt about that. As described up above from The Art of the Deal, the man is a killer in his own right, raised on the mean streets of New York business/real estate. He didn’t just fall off a turnip truck and end up in the DC Sewer Swamp. He has this, rest assured.

So by all means, get ‘the art of the deal’ program on the books, make a lot of noise about it, and let it become an institution like the National Endowment for the Arts, or the Nobel Dynamite Peace Prize, etal. ‘Build the Wall and all’ – see, it rhymes!

Yes, the compromise $1.38 billion for 55 miles of border wall construction offered by the House and Senate conference committee is an insult to anyone who cares about border security. Nonetheless, President Trump should take it, let Chuck and Nancy crow and Ann Coulter rail, and then get moving on adding the many other sources of funds available to him to construct hundreds more miles of border barrier at the highest-priority locations identified by the Border Patrol.

Another partial shutdown of the federal government would do nothing to prod the Democrats into offering more money. They think they have won and will not budge. Mick Mulvaney, perhaps the smartest person in Washington, D.C., the man who personally foiled Elizabeth Warren’s CFPB with adept bureaucratic maneuvers and has moved on to be the budget director while still heading CFPB, has identified more than enough money available in various unspent pools of money.

President Trump is systematically allowing the Uniparty (aka DemoRINOcrats) to expose itself for all to see. The Dem side forever the more ‘freaks-of-death-and-destruction’ party; the RINO side outing themselves as deceitful liars for claiming to support the President’s agenda without an ounce of evidence of them actually ACTING on his agenda.

Remember, all 50 senators – all 50 – voted to remain in session rather than recess, thereby denying President Trump the ability to recess-appoint any of the more than 300 people still waiting to fill empty positions in his administration.

The Wall will continue to be built. Border security will continue to be priority-implemented. The MAGA agenda will continue to roll on. We will keep on winning.
