Ted Cruz Takes on GOP Hierarchy..

Go Ahead, Make ...

Go Ahead, Make …

This past Monday evening on the floor of the Senate, the junior Senator from Texas threw caution to the wind, casting his pearls before swine in another brave attempt to bring reason, sensibility, and urgency to the internecine machinations of what today passes as “government administration”. He must have made an immediate impact, since Rand Paul was the first to jump in and castigate fellow Senator Ted Cruz as “pretty much done for in the Senate” to which my immediate inward response was Winston Churchill’s reply to Adolf Hitler in the dark days of 1940 after Hitler had promised to “wring the neck of Britain like a chicken ready for slaughter” to which Churchill’s memorable response was “Herr Hitler will soon regret entangling himself with what he will discover is some neck, some chicken”.

Cruz is that rarest of political animals. He is a man who will not bend to pressure where principles are at stake, refusing to play the game, knowing that the house has the stack decked in their favor. He dares to speak the truth right in the face of the deceivers, Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, Rand Paul, and the rest of them; a man of integrity with the courage of his convictions. The hour-long speech may be one of the most powerful indictments of the GOP ever spoken, as he held nothing back and nailed point after point after point.  Katie McHugh of Breitbart summarized some of his points:

The Democrats are “relentless” in pursuing their principles, Cruz said, which include ever-increasing government spending and unlimited abortion rights. They’re “willing to crawl over broken glass with a knife between their teeth to fight for their principles,” Cruz said.

Republican leadership “reflexively surrenders,” Cruz said. “President Obama simply has to utter the word shutdown and Republican leadership runs for the hills.”

Cruz explained three types of votes take place in the Senate: “show votes,” a limp-wristed attempt to placate voters by staging a pre-ordained surrender to Democrats; votes that simply grow government; “must-pass” votes that include continuing resolutions, appropriations bills, and debt ceiling raises.

The Texas senator compared GOP leadership to an NFL coach that declares “we forfeit” at every single coin toss. The “clean” continuing resolution rubberstamps Obama’s hard-left agenda.

“It funds 100 percent of Obama’s agenda, executive amnesty, Obamacare, the Iran nuclear deal. It is essentially a blank check to Barack Obama,” Cruz said.

“How is it that Speaker Boehner can promise there would never be a shutdown? Because I believe Speaker Boehner has cut a deal with Rep. Nancy Pelosi,” Cruz said. He believes Boehner plans to cling to his Speakership for another month in order to ram through a spending deal which will continue to fund industrial baby body parts seller Planned Parenthood, thereby avoiding a government shutdown.

Ted Cruz is the proverbial tree falling in the forest, the forest representing the establishment, and he deserves credit for exposing how thick the forest has become. The career-politician-establishment is not listening, so it’s time for We The People to clear the forest. I believe the term is “clear cutting”; after you clear cut you slash/burn it so that a new forest will take root. The truth of the matter is, there is only one branch of U.S. government now; OBO the Clown has pruned the legislative branch, which lies rotting on the ground. The judicial branch he has subjugated and rendered impotent, to the point where they now have ‘no standing’. To quote a rogue fraud “president” upon his fraudulent inauguration – “Fundamental Transformation” indeed…

Senator Cruz, like Donald Trump, has a plan to finally fast-start the process of saving America.  It is, however, and will remain to be, an uphill climb. The problem is that fully half the nation are not paying attention to what is truly unfolding right in front of their very eyes. They look at the debt and think big deal no problem; Iran having the bomb, no problem; baby body parts being sold for profits, no problem; millions of illegals streaming over our borders, Islamic Jihadist Muslim Terrorists among them, no problem; our corrupt Government acting against the will of We The People, no problem.

Without a doubt, Senator Ted Cruz is arguably the most courageous, principled, and sincere member of our entire three-branch government. His depiction of the current administration, the two political parties, and the motivations driving activities in Washington is piercingly accurate. With the other 534 members of Congress taking his lead, our government would operate like the well-oiled machine it was meant to be, ought to be, and NEEDS to be, to get us out of the hellhole created by this current administration.

But as Cruz has stated what we all know with extraordinary potency, the question arises and remains: now what?
