Pollsters Get it Totally Wrong Again

En Garde In The Bunker

More sober reflections from yesterday in no particular orderly sequence…

Think of it this way. Trump defeated pollsters, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, parts of FOX, HLN, NPR, PBS, Huffpo, Washington Post, about 35% of his own party, the Democrat party, a $2 billion dollar funded campaign by the Clinton family, backed by a sitting President and the power of the White House. That’s no small potatoes. Trump beat everyone, period. Again and again, the pollsters showed Hillary up 6, 8, 10, 12 points with little to no substantiation. They attacked, and attacked, and relentlessly put him and his family through a living hell.

Much to the chagrin of the entire assembled Big Media, not one time did Hillary have a lead, not one single moment did she have the electoral college, which everybody claimed would be Trump’s downfall. $2 billion, the entire media, part of the GOP, and an entire movement against the man himself. All of it failed. Trump won despite the fact that many people were afraid of displaying Trump bumper stickers, or Trump yard signs, for fear of having their property vandalized, and their cars “keyed” by Hillary supporters.

Barry was right about one thing; Elections do have consequences. God helped America to choose wisely. I hope and pray now for one of my pet projects from years past, and that would be the repeal of the Johnson Amendment (ie 501(c)3) so that the pulpits of our nation can be places of free speech rather than hectored lecterns that can’t or won’t address challenging moral/civic issues for fear of IRS oppression.

Not so fast, Madam Hillary, fame is so fleeting…

Heck, even far-lefty Michael Moore betrayed the Bellicose Believers and predicted this was going to happen. His white working class people in Michigan were frustrated and angry. He tried to warn the Democrats but they didn’t want to hear it. As far as satirist/propagandists go he’s not so stupid after all.

The same can’t be said for all the professional “pollsters” who serially got it all skew-whiff (other than the polished IBD/TIPP poll who nailed it again). Headed into Election Day, pollsters evangelist Nate Silver’s 538 website put Clinton’s odds at winning the White House at about 72 percent. By midnight, the site had more than flipped its odds-making, giving Trump an 84 percent chance of winning. Frank Luntz bombed out (again) as did Karl Rove and other polling brainiacs. Nothing like repeating over and over and over again to confirm stupidity! “The pollsters have lost a lot of credibility and won’t be believed on anything soon,” said Jonathan Barnett, a Republican National Committeeman from Arkansas who supported Trump. “The way they poll doesn’t work anymore.”

No kidding. I mean, just check out the hubris of Newsweek Magazine and their audacious trumping (couldn’t resist) front cover. Talk about being the naked emperor/empress…

More thoughts from Marion DS Dreyfus and American Thinker…

284px-American_Thinker_logoSorta sad I turned down a million-dollar bet that The Corruptocrat Witch would prevail over the better choice.

Shoulda taken that bet.

Smiling is such a satisfying  condition…

Not a small part of the joy suffusing those of us on the win is the delight in seeing the absurd failed “legacy” of the worst prez, and his swampy despair that he has lost the hectoring fight he waged to force the unwilling to elect the unappetizing.

The breakage of the hideous Iran “deal.”

The evisceration of the fiasco that is Obumacare.

The better angels of the election of a thoughtful and constitutional-minded justice to the Supremes.

The shivery reax from countries that would have walked all over the  witch.  The return of respect for the U.S.

The amazed consideration of cowardice on the part of Hiliar as she fails to be gracious in losing, fails to thank her supporters, fails to make a token appearance.

Concern that the mighty cost of defraying the Javits Center for the night party that never was will be shucked over onto the American taxpayer by the grifting trio.  At least she canceled the fireworks, suspecting she was not on the blue-ribbon winning panel.
