Dallas County and the grapes of wrath … From NBC5 DallasFort Worth: Judge Eric V. Moyé ruled against Shelley Luther, telling her she owes local leaders an apology and called her decision to open early selfish.
“I have to disagree with you, sir, when you say that I am selfish because feeding my kids is not selfish. I have hair stylists that are going hungry because they’d rather feed their kids. So sir, if you think the law is more important than kids being fed, then please go ahead with your decision. But I’m not going to shut the salon,” said Luther.
Additionally the judge ordered Luther to pay $500 each day through May 8, which is when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said salons and barbershops can reopen. [end]

The salon in question lies just a little to the east of yours truly, and in defense of Shelley Luther, she didn’t break the law … She did indeed violate an executive order, but that’s hardly ‘the law’! An executive order is by definition, NOT a law, since laws are voted on by the Legislature. Executive orders are not.
This demoMarxocrat judge has been in office since forever and is an Obamanation #44 surrogate. Dallas County and surrounds are full of ’em. Say no more.
The real problem with Obamanation #44 surrogates is that the law of the land is based on the Constitution. These dictatorial fiats issued by the various governors, mayors, judges and the like, are not Constitutional, nor grounded in legal basis, and are therefore, invalid. The Constitution is what it is, and it isn’t for half-baked government executives to simply ignore and make up whatever rules they feel like.

It doesn’t come as a shock but it is ridiculous in the extreme. A Dallas County Texas salon owner has been sentenced to a week in jail for defying the order to keep her business closed. “I couldn’t feed my family and my stylists couldn’t feed their families” Ms. Shelly Luther testified. The court didn’t care.
The stakes are escalating daily as economic desperation takes over and the oppressive hand of the authoritarian government officials refuse to loosen their grip on their new found power over the population. Confrontation is likely to get much worse quickly.
TEXAS – A Dallas salon owner will spend a week in jail after she was found in contempt of court Tuesday for violating a court order to close her salon during the coronavirus pandemic.
In addition to the jail time, Shelley Luther was fined at least $3,500 for continuing to operate her business, Salon à la Mode, in violation of a temporary restraining order issued against the business.
Like other businesses deemed nonessential, Luther’s Far North Dallas salon was forced to close March 22 after Dallas County enacted its stay-at-home order. She reopened the salon on April 24 despite that order, and tore up a cease-and-desist letter from Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins at a demonstration the following day.

Unfortunately we predicted this exact outcome when we were discussing how the Blue regions would line up to destroy the financial livelihoods of people living within oppressive control zones. [Previously Here] There is a growing likelihood things will continue to escalate as people get increasingly desperate and isolated.
This activity is fuel for a full WACO-style confrontation; which, ultimately would serve the interests of the control authoritarians. This is not a good trend to be seeing.
Also, on the same day this news comes out, we see fully armed SWAT team members with armored vehicles moving in to stop another business and arrest the owners. Again, this type of activity is going to end with a violent confrontation…

There exists in American governance a macro level to protect citizens by ensuring their right to be secure in property, speech, religion, chosen profession, life, and liberty. When government doesn’t serve that purpose and rather becomes the oppressor and denier of those rights, it then loses its right to exercise authority over the citizens. It isn’t the citizens after all, that are acting like an out of control mob, but the tin-pot would-be dictators and their henchmen in law enforcement and the courts.
Whatever conflagration emerges as a result of these government overreaches is on them, not We the (63 million) People.
Bottom line is just what a strange, dystopian ‘grapes of wrath’ world we live in. Commit treason against the state like Obamanation #44, HillaryRob’Em, Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Schiff, Pelosi, Schumer, Nadler and the rest of the bums, or be a pedophile or serial killer, and you go free; live by the rules, try to do what’s right, run your own business, feed your family, you go to jail. And not forgetting the issue of convicted criminals being “furloughed” from jail to assault and rob innocent Americans … This will definitely not end well, folks.
