Once upon a time in the West, as the effusive Victor Davis Hanson would express it, there always seemed to be a collegially-political atmosphere within opposing parties of serious governing bodies that allowed differing points of view to be philosophically addressed in unison, the overall effort being to come to grips with decisions to be made going forward for the benefit of all We the People.

Entering the fray back in 2004 came a guy who eventually was elevated to president #44, crowing about how he was going to ‘fundamentally transform’ our nation. Attached to that introductory quote upon his becoming the said #44, were comments along the lines of ‘the Cambridge police acted stupidly; if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun; I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl, I’ve seen Eagles fans’. And those were just the ‘mild’ ones.

Fast-forward to today and unfortunately for him (where is he by the way – anybody know?) #44 was only able to get as far as fundamentally transforming his own party into a radicalized, closed-minded mob, convinced of their own ideological supremacy. Mmmm, not unlike radical you-know-who’s running rampant in Western nations around the globe. The similarities are not a coincidence.

As a forever ‘observing observer’, yours truly puts forth that the real lesson for most Americans is simply realizing that current institutions of higher learning and leadership aren’t so high and mighty, and are in fact, infected with the destructive standards of totalitarian virtues that have been ravaging mankind for millennia.

Meanwhile, We the People now have a Constitutional Republic as endowed by the Founding Fathers under a president who knows exactly what he’s doing, and it’s driving the left into abject lunacy. So much so that they’re becoming a ‘clear and present danger’ to We the People.

In a piercing piece in PJMedia, the scholarly Victor Davis Hanson lays out in no mean way, the inherent danger of today’s Democrat leaders, their followers and the drunken swoon into absolute hatred of We the People’s president Donald J. Trump.

Former vice president and current presidential candidate Joe Biden has bragged on two occasions that he would like to beat up President Donald Trump.

In March 2018, Biden huffed, “They asked me would I like to debate this gentleman, and I said no. I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.”

Biden’s tough-guy braggadocio was apparently no slip. A year later, he doubled down on his physical threats.

“The idea that I’d be intimidated by Donald Trump? … He’s the bully that I’ve always stood up to. He’s the bully that used to make fun when I was a kid that I stutter, and I’d smack him in the mouth.”

Had former Vice President Dick Cheney ever dared to say something similar of President Obama, what would the media reaction have been?

Recently, Sen. Corey Booker (D-N.J.), another presidential candidate, took up where Biden left off: “Trump is a guy who you understand he hurts you, and my testosterone sometimes makes me want to feel like punching him, which would be bad for this elderly, out-of-shape man that he is if I did that. This physically weak specimen.” [-]

… [+] Actor Robert De Niro has repeatedly expressed a desire to physically assault trump. A month before Trump was elected, De Niro said of him, “I’d like to punch him in the face.” Later, De Niro doubled down with a series of “F— Trump” outbursts.

This is especially dangerous in the aftermath of progressive zealot and Bernie Sanders supporter James Hodgkinson’s 2017 attempt to assassinate Republican congressmen at a practice for a charity baseball game. Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) was shot and nearly killed. Three other people were also shot and wounded.[-]

… [+]Yet progressives like Biden and Booker seem to think that by bragging of wanting to do violence to the president, they will rev up their base and win attention, as if physical violence is justified by Trump’s unorthodox presidency.

Nonetheless, the current climate is becoming scary. Those who brag of wanting to violently attack the president should worry about where their boasts will finally lead if any of the thousands of James Hodgkinsons in America take such threats seriously and act upon them.[end]

As always, Victor Davis Hanson makes perfect sense in a world gone mad. And equally as always, the lefties project their own personality defects on to their enemies. Biden, Booker, DeNiro, O’Rourke (how that third rate actor ever got a gig, probably only Harvey Weinstein knows), Larry Wilmore (who the heck is he anyway?) are all displaying toxic masculinity.

Oh, and let’s not forget Kathy Griffin the head-bearer.

President Trump correctly criticizes the big deep state MSM because they have become a hostile extension of the Democrat Party. Most of the mainstream media’s political reporting is political propaganda, as occurred within the Soviet Communist Party’s Pravda, Izvestia and a host of other party rags.

Thank God for a vibrant and energized leader of a great nation who can take everything thrown his way, and turn it into positive action for the good of ALL Americans. MAGA!
