Just for the record, from a historical perspective: “It has long been my opinion, and I have never shrunk from its expression, that the germ of dissolution of our Federal Government is in the constitution of the Federal Judiciary – an irresponsible body (for impeachment is scarcely a scare-crow), working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little tomorrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief over the field of jurisdiction until all shall be usurped from the States and the government be consolidated into one. To this I am opposed.” ~ Letter from Thomas Jefferson to Charles Hammond, 1821. Writings of Thomas Jefferson Memorial Edition 15:331 (1904)
Which brings up the Ruth Bader Ginsburg conundrum.
With apologies to the family of the late, great, dearly-departed Antonin Scalia (not without its controversy, to which this report attests), Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Scalia’s close confidante while they were yet still together on the bench, is not at all looking well these days.
If the liberal-leftist DemoMarxists had any compassion at all, they would simply turn their attention away from their continual harassment of the person shaping up to be one of the greatest presidents in the nation’s history and allow Justice Ruth Ginsburg to retire with grace and dignity.
Seems like ‘sundance’ over at Conservative Treehouse nailed it a few weeks ago as to why a video of her exercising was released to the public.
A few weeks ago American media began heavily promoting a generally odd video of Supreme Court Justice [Ginsburg] doing a workout. It seemed weird. Today, the motive of putting out that video becomes transparent.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg appears at an event hosted by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA). Watch:
Just how long can the left-wing apparatchik maintain a ruse that Justice Ginsburg is fit to remain on the court? Doesn’t commonsense determine that there is a time for everything – even retirement at a certain advanced age?
As commenter hashtag ‘rsmith1776’ expresses it: “Laying aside politics, which is extremely difficult in light of the left’s reprehensible beliefs, actions and hatreds, let’s remember that she and Justice Scalia were the best of friends. With their spouses, many a wonderful evening was spent together. She loved him as a great gal and the feeling was mutual. So in honor of his memory, let’s not wish her personal ill.”
“As for her dangerous politics, we must pray each day that they fail and that they are resoundingly defeated in November.”
“I do not personally wish this woman ill – as in, God forbid, death or major sickness. Obviously she is quite unwell and I cannot rejoice in that.” [end]
As for the Supreme Court she did some good, she also did quite a bit of bad through her votes, but generally she had good intentions and even some (howbeit often woefully misguided and with bad consequences) love for the people.
Scant, but nevertheless. Credit where due.
All We the People can do is pray for her to come to the conclusion that she is not fit for the job anymore; to retire in peace (NOW or tomorrow would be a good idea); and for her to look forward to spending her remaining life in peace, happiness, and harmony with her family.
The fact of course, that this would open up the window of opportunity for our fearless warrior-president to put in her place a judge somewhat to the right of Scalia, Thomas, and Rehnquist would be a gloriously added bonus. In no particular order.
On a parting note a little fairness needs to be in order. There was nothing at all incoherent in what she said, as is evident from the video clip. She speaks very slowly, and clearly has health problems, but she did manage to articulate an excellent – and coherent point – about how badly the nomination process has deteriorated over the years.
Especially her positive comments towards defending SCOTUS Nominee-in-Waiting Brett Kavanaugh. Kudos Justice Ginsburg!
Despite all her frailties, Ruth Bader Ginsburg is still in a better mental condition than the likes of Pelosi, or ‘impeach fawti-fi’ – or, for that matter, Dianne Feinstein, Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer and the rest of the looney-bin DemoMarxist Cabal. In the never-to-be-forgotten immortal words of Schumer himself “six ways to Sunday better!”
And on a double parting note – This appeared yesterday on a Daily Caller thread (wish I had thought of it!). Poster suggests that if our fearless president does get another opportunity to nominate a Supreme Court justice, that he nominate Hillary Rob’em, resulting in FBI vetting and questioning under oath by Senators examining her life back to high school, just as done to Kavanaugh. Wouldn’t THAT be an absolute HOOT!
Time to take today’s MAGA Pill – President Donald J. Trump – MAGA!
