The clip belongs right up there with that of the infamous Hank Johnson (Georgia 4th – D) wondering a few years ago, whether Guam would actually tip over and capsize if the Navy allowed too many sailors (ie 8000) to go ashore on liberty leave.

Thanks to their friends in the deep state big fake news media and government bureaucracies, it would appear that democrats can count on their stupidity seldom being out in the open where their low information constituents can see it. Kind of a variation in a way, of ‘If a tree falls in the forest and there is nobody around to hear it, does it still make a noise?’
At the risk of being labeled ‘racist’ while being doubly-accused of belittling a sitting member of Congress, Mad Max Waters is what passes for ‘leadership’ these days in the flailing DemoMarxocrat party: an ignorant and uninformed pretender, utterly unfit to inhabit the hallowed halls of Congress, let alone be chairwoman of any one of their alphabet-soup committees.
After all, incompetence and ignorance of members of Congress is hardly a pejorative applied to them alone; there are far more that offer up the very same diatribes day after glorious day that are more than worthy of the same recognition.
On the other commendable hand of course (and far more worthy of acclamation) there are the dynamic, energetic, ambitious and leadership-driven warrior-women like the brilliant Candace Owens who are daily fighting in the trenches of freedom, upholding the Declarative and Constitutional tenets of ‘Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness’ so clearly stated in the Republic’s great foundational documents.

Thinking she had reeled in a big one, Democratic chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) planned to line up the country’s big bank presidents (you know, like the famous tobacco executives) and call them on the carpet over the student loan debt issue. She was loaded for bear.
According to the Washington Times:
At a hearing featuring a panel of seven bank CEOs, Ms. Waters ticked off figures on student loan debt and defaults, then asked, “What are you guys doing to help us with this student loan debt? Who would like to answer first? Mr. Monahan, big bank.”
Much to the House chairwoman’s surprise, she was calmly advised, by bank president after bank president after bank president, that they didn’t do student loans anymore. President Obama had nationalized the entire market.
Bank of America chairman and CEO Brian Monahan replied, “We stopped making student loans in 2007 or so.”
Ms. Waters replied, “Oh, so you don’t do it anymore. Mr. Corbat?”
Said Citigroup CEO Michael Corbat: “We exited student lending in 2009.”
She then turned to James Dimon, JPMorgan Chase chairman and CEO, who explained, “When the government took over student lending in 2010 or so, we stopped doing all student lending.”
At that point, Ms. Waters changed the subject, saying, “Thank you. What about small business?”

The ‘gubmint’ (ie Mad Max version) takeover of the Student Loan Program has been one of the most successful government programs to date. [sarc].. It has enabled record numbers of young people to go to college, party like there’s no tomorrow, and graduate with little more knowledge or skills than when they arrived.
Worse, millions have been dumbed down into politically correct robots who don’t even know who started WWII.
The hundreds of billions have allowed colleges and universities across the country to increase tuition fees way above inflation. Yet, because it’s a government program that covers something so important as to ‘preparing oneself for a lifetime of good things’, nobody says anything.
And finally, Ivy League schools with all their endowments, reap the benefits of Uncle Sam bailing out an ever increasing number of students who will become government employees and supporters of the scam.
So there aren’t any big banks to blame for student debt anymore. No capitalist to call on the carpet. Obama was the one responsible, because he nationalized the market. And maybe Mad Max Waters should talk to Obama about it instead.
