Julian Assange aka whistleblower?

En Garde in the bunker…

Now THIS is an interesting development, especially within the current grand scheme of things. With umpteen scenarios of one conviction or another swirling around our attention spans these days, ‘conspiracy theory’ might well be elevated to supreme status.

I refer of course, to the early-morning arrest in London of Julian Assange, who has been holed-up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for the past 7 years after skipping bail on the Brit police. Not an advisable action.

More to the point, however, is who here in the United States, initiated the raid? Mmmmmmm….

A little teaser from London’s Daily Mail:

  • Wikileaks founder dragged out of Ecuadorian Embassy in handcuffs by a large group of police officers today
  • Ecuador said its decision came after ‘repeated violations to international conventions and daily-life protocols’
  • His lawyer said arrest was ‘not just for breach of bail conditions but also in relation to US extradition request’
  • He has not left embassy since 2012, when he was offered refuge from allegations of sexual assault in Sweden
  • Assange has always feared extradition to the US, where he is wanted for leak of highly-classified documents
  • Was revealed in 2018 Assange had been secretly indicted by the US Justice Department on unknown charges

In a sensational turn of events, he was then also charged by the US government with conspiring with American whistleblower Chelsea Manning ‘to break a password to a classified government computer’ in 2010.

According to documents unsealed today, the charge relates to Assange’s alleged role in ‘one of the largest compromises of classified information in US history’ and he faces a maximum jail term of five years.

While he awaits sentencing for defying his bail conditions, Assange, 47, also faces a court hearing on May 2 relating to his possible extradition to the US to contest the computer hacking charges.[end]

It almost seems more than a coincidence that on the day after A.G. William Barr basically reveals the damaging scars of the FBI and other government agencies involved in one nefarious scheming coverup after another, that the guy who Seth Rich spilled the Clinton (and other) beans to, gets arrested for his own protection – or not. Mmmmmm…

Peter Barry Chowka today’s American Thinker: ‘WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange Arrested in London’s Ecuadorian Embassy’ …

Breaking this morning: shortly after dawn today on the East coast: WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange was arrested by London police and taken into custody shortly before 11 a.m. London time.

NBC News reported:

Assange was wanted by British police for skipping bail in August 2012, while he was under investigation for sexual assault and rape in Sweden.

One of the questions to be resolved is whether Assange will now be extradited to the United States where he faces charges.

The BBC:

Mr Assange, 47, had refused to leave the embassy, claiming if he did he would be extradited to the United States for questioning over the activities of WikiLeaks.

Scotland Yard said it was invited into the embassy by the ambassador, following the Ecuadorian government’s withdrawal of asylum.

Mr Assange would remain in custody at a central London police station, before appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court “as soon as is possible”, the statement added.

UK foreign minister Sir Alan Duncan said the arrest followed “extensive dialogue between our two countries”.

It comes a day after Wikileaks said it had uncovered an extensive spying operation against its co-founder at the Ecuadorean embassy.

Mueller wraps up his investigation, Barr begins an investigation into Obama administration domestic spying, and Assange gets arrested.

Coincidence? Settle down, pass the popcorn please, and let Justice be served!

And with that, time for today’s MAGA Pill – President Donald J. Trump – MAGA!
