China Biden outs freedom of speech … Tucker Carlson of late has been the siren voice of freedom of speech – or the lack of – being used to silence various divisions of We the (80 million+) People. One of the most ominous developments – which was on his menu last night – is that according to the left, the military seem to be poised to implement some sort of program to weed out those with “extremist” views. As we all know, the left labels “extremist” as any view with which it disagrees, and this new policy could be used to weed out anyone with conservative or traditional Christian views; or anyone for that matter, who has ever criticized the government from a conservative point of view.
Not to be outdone or disregarded, Dinesh D’Souza has been pointing out over the past many weeks, that the long term effect of this policy could be to create a Ba’athist type military which owes its primary allegiance to a political party rather than to the country itself. What could possibly go wrong, especially when this is combined with stepped-up efforts to disarm the public with an ever-increased surveillance going on in plain sight?
It all had its birth of course in the leftists defending the ‘Big Steal’ with nonsensical statements such as, “There was no widespread fraud,” or “The irregularities did not change the results,” or “No election is perfect,” or “An election is not mathematically perfect.” All denials by minimization that admit there was fraud. What one calls a lie is not an illegality and it should not become one. There – point taken!
The blind fakery of Climate Change is another case in point, in that we all become “science deniers” if we don’t believe queer “science” against biological / anatomical science – the decree by the left, thereby, being “evidence” of what is settled science and what is not. Even going into the annals of Constitutional Law by judicial fiat until coming up with a decision they desire, it all then becomes settled to their satisfaction – constitutional precedent and law.
What is seemingly being lost to yours truly, is the cultural norm within which consensual standards allow people to think and speak as they please; tolerance of free thought and speech being the default cultural standard. This cultural assumption, once so widely shared as to be taken for granted (hence the present widely shared objection to private suppression of speech), has nearly disappeared in Western civilization.
Without this assumption, the concept of free speech becomes so discomfiting that people will abandon it in the name of liberty. China Biden outs freedom of speech…
Star Parker, FrontPageMag: ‘Freedom of Speech Slipping Away’…
As the new Biden-Harris admin assumes power, the most basic American freedom of speech and expression is under unprecedented threat.
For the first time ever, I am concerned about my freedom to do my work, to run a policy institute addressing issues of culture, race and poverty from a conservative perspective.
Technology — the internet — which was largely nonexistent just 25 years ago, now plays a huge role in our lives as a tool of communication. In a survey just published by the Pew Research Center, 86% say they “often” or “sometimes” get their news from a digital device — smartphone, tablet or computer. This compared with 68% who say they “often” or “sometimes” get their news from television, 50% who get it from radio and 32% who get it from print publications.
According to Statista.com, the United States has 223 million Facebook users, almost the size of the entire U.S. population over age 18. Per Pew, 22% of U.S. adults use Twitter. These developments have put enormous power at the disposal of technology firms over what we see and read.
Power alone doesn’t worry me. Exclusive power, power to control, does.
The decision by Twitter to kick the president of the United States off of Twitter, disconnecting him from the 89 million who follow him, is mind-boggling. President Trump has noted, with total legitimacy, that he turned to social media as his platform of preference to communicate with the country because of widespread bias in the mainstream media.
What gives the technology companies so much discretion over communication, the oxygen of our free country?

As for all those fearsome tech tyrants, the three most effective ways to reign them in are:
1. Antitrust actions.
2. Removing their status as “platforms,” probably by defining as a publisher liable for content any organization that edits (or de-platforms) for content, and allowing courts to make this determination as a conclusion of law. That would allow Twitter and YouTube to be sued for anything that appears on their sites unless and until they stop censoring conservative content. The copyright infringement liability alone would probably force them to mend their ways.
3. When they act at the behest of government (i.e. demoMarxocrats) and infringe on the freedom of speech, make them liable for huge damage awards, say $1 million per incident for denial of rights guaranteed by the Constitution. In fact, we might go further and make the CEO and Board of Directors personally liable for such infringements. Again, the idea is to make them choose between censoring conservatives and staying in business.
All in all, true free speech requires the agreement of a majority of people with freedom of thought, but even that has been lost through a subverted education system. As Joni Mitchell sang – you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone.
China Biden outs freedom of speech!
And on that note, time for today’s MAGA Pill – Thank GOD we still have our fearless president Donald John Trump doing his darnedest to MAGA! KAG!
