For those of you who missed my weekend blog yesterday (appropriately titled ‘Evil, thy name is liberalism of the left’), the link is provided down below, and I mention it only because its relevance is very much tied in to today’s content. Without a shadow of a doubt, the current version of the AOC Democrat party long ago ceased to be the entity that had a difference of opinion within the balance of power and strength of a Constitutional Republic.
As a for-instance, an astute ‘observing observer’ tuned in to last Tuesday’s SOTU could hardly be convinced that what was on display from the Dark Side of the Chamber (white uniforms sitting on hands plus pouty-faced Speaker and Senate minority leader) had anything to do for the good of We the People.
More to the point is that it had everything to do with what you’d expect from a hate-filled mob mentality, a lust for power, and a complete absence of moral boundaries. Democrat ‘ideas’ aren’t intended to be real-life policy for the sake of the policy itself; they’re all geared toward two things, the accumulation of power, and the ability to hold that power.
The more We the People firmly grasp that, the more we at least understand the warfare that we find ourselves presently engaged in.
Over the weekend, Roger L. Simon had an interesting take on the ‘AOC’ effect, titled ‘The Perfect Graduate of today’s Biased Colleges’ …
In the immediate sense, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may be the best thing to happen to the Republican Party since Abraham Lincoln. Her Green New Deal is as much dead in the water as it is brain dead and constitutes a fabulous talking point for the GOP to run on in 2020.
But there is a point of concern — and in the long run a more important one.
AOC represents the natural outgrowth of our extraordinarily biased higher educational system. She is its valedictorian, its Social Justice Summa Cum Laude. Give her the SJWPhD honoris causa and, while you’re at it, give the United States of America to China. They won’t have to fire a shot.
Think I exaggerate? Consider the level of writing and thinking in her Green Deal in whatever ever-changing iteration, with or without the banning of cow flatulence and air travel, and notwithstanding the guaranteed income for those unwilling to work. (Isn’t that already the case with internet trolls — but I digress?) This document, if one can call it that, resembles nothing more than the kind of swill presented to — and highly approved by — professors in today’s grievance-obsessed colleges, where Shakespeare and Milton are dismissed or rejected and actual thought (i.e., intellectual reasoning) is ridiculed as manifestations of “white privilege.”
Actually, AOC is a nascent (or not-so-nascent) totalitarian. Nevertheless, she has brought along with her almost all of the declared Democratic Party candidates (Gillibrand, Harris, Warren, Booker, Sanders, etc.), a couple of whom, one would hope, might be smart enough to know her ideas are fantastical and so expensive as to bankrupt not just the USA but most of the world along with it. It would cause tremendous suffering, most of all to the poor and working classes who can’t afford, or even dare to dream of, Teslas or vacations on Mustique.
These are the people the Democrats claim to be helping. Nevertheless, these candidates say nothing and go along. Either they are cowards or fellow travelers or both. But beneath it all, they are wannabe undergraduate Social Justice Warriors.

As Rick Moran put it in today’s American Thinker (link down below): ‘The story behind the comedic and unsuccessful rollout of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal demonstrates a congressional office in utter chaos with no one — or everyone — in charge. The document appeared on Ocasio-Cortez’s webpage on February 7 and by nightfall had been unceremoniously deleted. This was after a day of mockery and outrage at some of the more unrealistic, even silly proposals the document detailed’.
‘The “explanations” offered by her staff ran the gamut from the document being a “draft” to charges by one of her main advisers that Republicans had planted the document to make her look stupid. Seriously? After a few weeks in the public eye, it should be obvious that Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t need the GOP to look stupid’. [end]
To send out a senior adviser who didn’t have details of the document down cold bespeaks a level of incompetence rarely found, even on Capitol Hill. One side of AOCs office doesn’t know what the other side is doing. Some advisers have apparently assumed authority they don’t have. Others are in the dark.
Go ahead and pop some popcorn, sit back, relax, and strap it down. Watching AOC and her ditzy staff over the next two years will be better than any sitcom on TV.
Time for today’s MAGA Pill – President Donald J Trump – MAGA!
