As heartbreaking as it is, the Terri Schiavo story has yet to be fully told, and captures the present low point in our history. Wasserman-Schultz, with her continuous lying, babbling, and callousness, certainly captures the degeneracy of our time. The ACLU was given extra funding by Gyorgy Schwartz-Soros for the purpose of ending Terri’s life by starvation and dehydration, the goal being to get the public to support “merciful” euthanasia by needle. Michael Schiavo, the “husband” was allowed to determine just about every aspect of Terri’s treatment if you recall, and his behavior toward her (according to nurses and other eye-witnesses) was nothing less than demonic (there’s that Alinskyite connection again). She was kept in bed, in the dark, with little visual or sensory stimulation. She was not allowed outside, and her wheelchair remained in a state of disrepair. He turned off the TV and even removed one of her favorite stuffed animals. Towards the end, he wouldn’t even allow a drop of water to pass Terri’s lips, and her parents weren’t allowed to be in the company of their daughter without a guard, lest they tried to ease her suffering. Many laws were broken, but this was not covered in the lamestream media (what a shocker!)
The alphabet-soup media and the diabolical, so-called “bio-ethicists” gave complete deference to the “husband”, even though he had been living for years, with another woman and their children. The bio-ethicists would constantly claim that Terri was in a “vegetative state” which is extremely difficult to determine, and it was not the unanimous view of neurological experts anyway. It was a turning point in my life. Some people remember where they were when Kennedy was killed or Apollo 11 landed on the moon. I remember where I was the day Terri Schiavo died. I was crying in a bathroom stall at work, wondering what kind of merciless country I lived in. It was nine years ago this month.
Looking back at the appeals and legislation surrounding the Terri Schiavo case makes my head spin. At the time, my family and I followed every twist, every turn, and every detail of her family’s struggle to keep her alive.
Frankly I’d rather not look back. It only reminds of how messed up our laws were, and how much farther we’ve deteriorated into a culture of death instead of a culture of life.
