WaPo outrageous Trump witchhunt

Go ahead, make my…

Man, it’s a good thing that the WaPo (Washington Post for the uninitiated) didn’t do the story on the sainted Obama hiring a venal, lawless, deceitful and arrogant Secretary of State who had set up an amateurish, unsecured private server, from which she transacted information of the highest sensitivity, with national security implications, which info was rendered ripe for plundering by sundry foreign states – Which (ahem!) might have been a real security crisis that would have had the perpetually-outraged and indignant DemoMarxists flaming out, right?

OK then, what if it had been Trump who said “this is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility”. Or if he had approved the sale of uranium through his Secretary of State?? Or what if he came up with a cockamamie idea with his AG called “Fast and Furious”, an insane program to use American gun dealers and straw purchasers to arm Mexican drug lords?

It is difficult to imagine any Republican administration surviving anything remotely close to Fast and Furious. The WaPo hard-leftists would have been screaming for blood.

Right then, let’s make it simple – Someone anonymously contacts the WaPo during the Obama presidency to tell them Obama said or did something. The WaPo calls the Obama Communications team and says “Hey, just thought you guys should know there’s a leaker in the WH somewhere saying things about the president. Of course we won’t publish it.”

Chuck Schumer to Rachel Maddow .. “Intel officials have six ways from Sunday of getting back at you.”

On the other hand, someone anonymously contacts the WaPo during the Trump presidency to tell them Trump said or did something – STOP THE PRESSES! We’ve got a Deep Throat in the White House saying Trump gave highly classified information to the Russians! It’s Watergate! It’s impeachment! HE’S GOIN’ DOWN!

Or let’s just assume presumptively, that Jeff Bezos and his WaPo Marxist fake news stormtroopers dropped this story out there just as the facts were breaking on the unfortunate Seth Rich and the fact he was in contact with WikiLeaks about what was really going down within the Clinton Foundation and elsewhere.

The rank smell of hypocrisy is yet again lingering in the nostrils of the outrageous DemoMarxists and their fake news denizens who inhabit the swamp that is Washington D.C.

Which is a good segue` to American Thinker and Thomas Lifson … “WaPo’s latest ‘Get Trump’ piece”…

Once again, the mainstream media exploded yesterday with breathless tales of purported incompetence, or worse, treasonous betrayal of our deepest intelligence secrets to the Russians.  Suddenly, the Kremlin has become the bad guy for Progressives, no longer worthy to hold the vast share of our uranium reserves it acquired under Hillary Clinton’s supervision as secretary of state.  And, as an article of faith, it was only because of the Russians that Hillary Clinton was denied her rightful term as president of the United States.

By now, you probably know the story that caused the newsroom at the Washington Post to erupt in celebration: “Trump revealed highly classified information to Russian foreign minister and ambassador.”

Based on anonymous sources (of course) said to be current and former officials (those former officials did not have official access, so they must be basing their opinions on hearsay – but never mind that basic flaw; this is a matter of getting dirt on Trump, so forget about standards), the story claimed that the president revealed the name of a town from which sensitive data on ISIS was received and thereby revealed too much about sources and methods used by an ally to provide us with intelligence.

There were only five U.S. officials at the meeting, and three of them have spoken publicly and denied that the Post’s account is true.  National security adviser (and former General) H.R. McMaster’s words ought to be dispositive: “I was in the room. It didn’t happen.”

WaPo Newsroom erupts in celebration on a mere supposition…

And the media wonders why their approval ratings are so low. Apparently they are too stupid to understand that like a lying 12 year old child, we see right through them and their seditious behavior. Looking at the numbers in net terms (positive minus negative), newspapers and television have an average net rating of minus 18 percent. (Politifact/Feb 16).

Just as a note while I think about it, the whole thing about “classified/non-classified” is irrelevant. Classification authority flows from the office of the President and he (or his delegates) decides what information is classified and who can be told about it. By definition, therefore, if he decides to tell someone he’s sharing classified information, it’s perfectly legal. Too bad that too many people don’t know how classification information works.

In closing, what we are witnessing since Trump became president is an attempted, slow-motion coup d’etat by a thousand cuts orchestrated by a coordinated conspiracy involving the Deep-Staters, Democrats, Never-Trump GOPers, Liberal Media, Hollywood and Academia. If this coup succeeds we can say goodbye to the American Experiment in Constitutional government of, by and for We the People.

The game here is to utterly convince a majority – through fake news as well as real news – that Trump is a disaster. The haters now have another reason to despise him, even if it is nonsense.
