Trumpit Carrier deal hits WH nerve

Go Ahead, Make ...

Go Ahead, Make …

On his show yesterday, Rush Limbaugh described what he thought was going on at the White House when Trump made the announcement about Carrier: “Don’t doubt me on this — there was seething. There was rage, there was cursing at everything about it, at Trump over the details of the story, over how small it was gonna make Obama look, how inconsequential it was gonna make Obama look. So they had to have a meeting and they had to devise how they’re gonna deal with this.” [end]

Well, how they dealt with it was putting it in the hands of their ‘spokesmouth’. Not satisfied with his outrageous claim the other day that the Obama administration had been free of scandal, “Earnest you gotta be Joshing me” took to the podium again in answering the reporter’s question on President-elect Trump’s ability to get Carrier to preserve jobs in the USA that they were planning to send to Mexico. Listen to “Earnest-you’re-Joshing-me” and his reply then we’ll continue…

OK, back to Rush for his assessment: “Trump announces saving a thousand jobs, and it’s a bigger economic announcement than any Barack Obama has had in eight years.  That’s what they’re steaming about in the White House.  Trump goes out and tweeting that he has saved a thousand jobs at Carrier in Indiana, and it’s bigger economic news than anything Obama announced. Bigger than his stimulus, which didn’t work. Bigger than Obamacare, which is an albatross around this nation’s neck and is gonna have to be dispatched and rebuilt.” [end]

Yup, only a liberal could be so misinformed and delusional about what the Obama economy has done to this nation. Let’s start with the unemployment lie.

Obama and liberal Democrats use the U3 rate which does not measure the long term unemployed so it is all smoke and mirrors. The U6 rate is the real unemployment rate which as of Sept 2016 is 9.2% so Obama has done little to reduce unemployment. What we can say is that America has never endured a stretch equaling Obama’s streak without GDP growth exceeding 3%.

Taking a glance at the National Debt Clock over on the right, under Obama the nation’s debt has grown from $9.6T in 2008 to $19.9T as of this date in 2016, with projections going as high as 25T by 2020, all due to Obama and his out-of-control spending. Debt as a percentage of GDP has grown from 80% in 2008 to 106% as of this date. The nation’s median income remains lower than it was when the liberal-progressive-Democrat-created “Great Recession” ended – $57,243 at the end of 2015, compared to $57,987 at the end of 2008.

Obama’s ‘fantastic economic recovery’ forced Carrier into their Mexico decision, and has driven 2 million more women into poverty. The hated 1% grew from 6.7 million in 2008 to 10.4 million in 2015. Home ownership is below pre-2008 levels, middle class families have been forced to sell off their retirements to make ends meet, and personal savings is just about non-existent – over 60% of middle class families have less than $1,000 in the bank.

Back to Rush for a closer: “Practically everything Obama touched has been damaged to one degree or another.  I think it’s quite telling that an announcement of saving a thousand Carrier jobs is maybe the biggest economic news this country has had — the most uplifting, shall we say — in eight years, and they know it at the White House, and they know it at the Democrat Party.  And they’ve not had experience dealing with this because they have not had a functioning opposition, which was out to defeat them, or fix their mistakes.  They’re up against things they have no preparation for, no recent experience dealing with.” [end]

I haven’t even addressed the disastrous impact Obamacare has had on families in increased costs and deductibles. And Democrats wonder why their brand has been all but destroyed at the local, state and federal levels of the government. Yes, Obama’s economic record can only be labeled as one of complete and abject failure. No wonder the Carrier deal has hit a White House nerve.

In any event, Obama is a president like none other – and may we never see the likes of him again.
