From commenter ‘critical mass’ on one of the threads: Of course the ‘Dementocrats’ are plotting to block the President’s nominee for the Supreme Court. They have to plot because they are addicted to it and are incapable of anything else. This has been made evident from the scurrilous campaign to reject Robert Bork’s nomination in 1987, the disgraceful attempt to smear Clarence Thomas during his confirmation hearings in 1991, and the present obstruction in confirmation of President Trump’s judicial and administrative nominees – the duration and scale of which are unprecedented.
In essence, they are trying to subvert the Constitution by severing a calibrated balance between the executive, legislative and judiciary branches of government. In specific terms, they are trying to do this by distorting the meaning of the Senate’s power to “advise and consent” to “mislead and coerce “.
Let them plot and scheme. Let them try to exploit weaknesses and loopholes in Senate processes. It only further serves to awaken more Americans to the chicanery of their methods and agenda.[end]

The obsessive media hatred of President Trump has made them entirely predictable. Everything he does is not just wrong, it is an outage. And everyone he appoints to office is utterly, irredeemably evil, so malign that dining at a restaurant is a threat that must be countered by mobs.
Blogger Don Surber has provided us with a splendid satire of the spittle-flecked media madness that will erupt as soon as President Trump announces his nominee for the Supreme Court seat being vacated by Justice Kennedy. What makes this brilliant satire is that it is a generic editorial that could (and will) be published against anyone the president chooses. Don instructs journalists:

The best thing about this is that it preemptively dismisses all the editorials that will look like it once the nominee is announced. They will be proven to be just boilerplate.

To which commenter ‘allengen’ responds: It’s game on. They will try to Bork any nominee presented by the Donald. They will say he or she is beyond the pale and not within the bounds of mainstream jurisprudence. But, it will be their mainstream and not ours.
We the People are prepared for this battle and know how they play the game. RINOs and traitors among us now have to face the reality that over 90 percent of the Republican electorate enthusiastically supports Trump.
What has changed is that if they go public with a blatant rejection of either ours or the President’s pick, they will receive our wrath at the ballot box. The game has changed and events are clearly tilting in our favor. The President prevails because he endures and doesn’t quit.[end]
