Supreme Court abortion enablers?

En Garde in the bunker…

Full disclosure upfront – In a former life long ago and far away soon after the black-robed executioners in the Burger Supreme Court allowed baby-killing in the heady days of the 1970s, I was complicit in a decision to allow my flight attendant girl-friend at the time to abort. No big deal. Medical procedure. In and out in a morning or afternoon. Get on with the rest of your life.

Apart from my own eventual ‘coming to Jesus moment’, consider that in the intervening years, some 60,000,000+ and counting (in America alone) innocent babies have been tossed away like so many rag dolls not worthy of further attention. At the current rate this works out to 1,400,000 abortions per year. Or just under 4,000 per day. (And I’m not even considering the heinous crime of baby body parts for commercial sale).

To put that number into perspective, the current population of the United Kingdom as of 2017 is 66.02 million, a census that has been fairly steady for going on 50-60 years or more. Let that number sink in for a while.

My point in all this being, that yesterday, newly seated Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh joined Chief Justice John Roberts and the court’s progressive wing in declining to review three cases centered on Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood at the state level.

Baby alive and well in Momma's womb...

Baby alive and well in Momma’s womb…

As reported by Art Moore in World Net Daily: ‘In dissent, Justice Clarence Thomas accused the majority of “abdicating” its duty for political reasons.’

So what explains the Court’s refusal to do its job here? Thomas wrote, “I suspect it has something to do with the fact that some respondents in these cases are named ‘Planned Parenthood.”

Mmmm. Additionally, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of WND, Joseph Farah had far more scathing things to say about the whole matter which you can read from the link provided down below.

Then there’s this from Rick Moran in today’s American Thinker and ‘Supreme Court allows Planned Parenthood lower court decision’…

284px-American_Thinker_logoIn a ruling that has angered pro-life conservatives, the Supreme Court refused to hear two cases related to states terminating the Medicaid contracts for Planned Parenthood.

It would have taken four justices to agree to hear the cases, but only Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch gave their assent. Brett Kavanaugh and John Roberts joined liberals on the court, whose refusal allowed the lower court decisions to stand. For now.

The refusal does not decide the issue at all. In fact, this was more of a “process” decision than an ideological one.

Roberts and Kavanaugh “likely have serious objections,” said Steve Vladeck, CNN Supreme Court analyst and professor at the University of Texas School of Law. “But such votes seem to be a signal that they would rather avoid contentious, high-profile disputes for now, at least where possible.”

At issue is not whether states can provide federal funding for abortion. Instead, the case concerned whether they can block Medicaid funds from offices that provide such women with annual health screens, contraceptive coverage and cancer screening.

Sounds to me like Justice Thomas is clearly miffed, and his reaction mirrors that of many in the pro-life community. But historically (on a positive note for conservatives) the Court is uncomfortable with taking on an issue before the lower courts have had their say. The appeals process will continue, and We the People should expect that eventually, the issue will be revisited by the Court.

Holding our breaths. Sounds to yours truly that all this time, some of them have merely been acting as politicians in black robes pretending to be judges.

Then there is of course, the Tenth Amendment to be considered which states: ‘The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.’

In the meantime we have a completely out of control DemoMarxist cabal of a ‘party’ waiting in the wings, threatening to remove by hook or by crook (and God knows there are hundreds of crooks inhabiting Congress) a duly-elected president of the United States that arguably, is on course to be one of (if not THE) most successful presidents in the history of America.

In what manner or means, exactly, does this anti-American behavior of the DemoMarxists produce anything of merit or productivity to the citizens of the Constitutional Republic?

Thankfully, we can still partake of today’s MAGA Pill – President Donald J Trump – MAGA!
