En Garde in the bunker…
Following on from yesterday’s ‘Hogg-tied gun-control march’ which certainly attracted its share of comment-thread attention, I bring you Daniel John Sobieski with a brilliant follow-up which he titles “The March of their Lies” (Hogg’s folly) with the preposition that the lie of easy access to guns and the NRA is what is placing our schoolchildren’s lives in jeopardy.
In any rational argument or debate which has anything to do with authoritarian government at any level, you can almost guarantee the idea that those who have experienced a calamity (ie Hogg’s folly) are thereby somehow endowed with rational as well as moral authority to prescribe duly preventive measures. Which is purely absurd.
No one suggests that survivors of plane crashes are experts in aviation safety. The same applies to those who have lived through other accidents and disasters. It is even more preposterous to claim that children, whose inexperience and immaturity make it impossible for them to form worthwhile opinions about complex and controversial adult matters, are somehow enabled or ennobled to gain insights and wisdom they would not otherwise possess, merely because they were in or around a disaster of some kind or another (defined as Hogg’s folly).
Waving the bloody shirt, the bedraggled hair, or the scarred wounds is no substitute for understanding.
Sheriff Scott Israel Hogg’s folly at Parkland…
The adults responsible for the fraud that is this bogus ‘Children’s Crusade’ have been blinded by their own virtue into behaving irresponsibly and reprehensibly. Not one of these twerps planned the march, organized the march nor funded the march. They were simply the useful idiots who were placed in a position to be noticed. They were given their scripts and the most adept actors, likely conditioned by their parents in ‘Leftist-think’, were promoted to ‘lead’ the astroturf group. ‘Hogg’s folly’ being one of them.
I go a step further in objecting to calling them ‘survivors’. They weren’t shot (nobody seems to know, for instance, if they were even in the area to be shot at) yet miraculously ‘survived the injury’. All they did was attend the school, and if that qualifies them as being ‘survivors’ then every military person who was present in a combat zone, though uninjured, can be termed a ‘survivor’. Even Broward-Coward County Sheriff Scott Israel.
But enough of suppositions, let’s segue` to Sobieski’s opener…
History, it is said, is a lie agreed upon, and the so-called March for Our Lives celebrated the lie that easy access to guns and the NRA is placing our schoolchildren’s lives in jeopardy. You did not hear from any speaker – the foul-mouthed activist David Hogg in particular – that neither the march nor the burial of 17 Parkland victims would have been necessary but for the failure of law enforcement agencies to do the jobs assigned to them.
One speaker, activist student Emma González, stood silent for the six minutes and 20 seconds it took the gunman to dispatch his victims at Parkland. She did not mention that during much of the time, four Broward officers stood outside doing less than nothing as her classmates were being slaughtered by a student well known to the school, to the cowards of Broward led by Sheriff Scott Israel, and to an FBI obsessed with Russian colluders under GOP beds. There was no march on the Broward County Sheriff’s Office or the FBI building in Washington, D.C.
As this march was under way, a French hero, Lt. Col. Arnaud Beltrame, was being laid to rest after sacrificing himself to save the life of a hostage held by a gunman in a French supermarket:
French President Emmanuel Macron said Lt. Col. Arnaud Beltrame, 44, died after being seriously injured in the attack. Macron said Beltrame “fell as a hero” and “showed exceptional courage.”
“Arnaud Beltrame died in the service of the nation to which he had already given so much,” Macron said in a statement. “In giving his life to end the deadly plan of a jihadi terrorist, he fell as a hero.”
Interior Minister Gerard Collomb wrote in a tweet early Saturday that Beltrame had “died for his country.”
The officer had offered himself up unarmed to the 25-year-old attacker in exchange for a female hostage. He managed to surreptitiously leave his cellphone on so that police outside could hear what was going on inside the supermarket.
When it comes to Parkland, instead of a French police officer hero, we have the local version of Inspector Clouseau, Sherriff Scott Israel. Sheriff Israel appeared on CNN’s gun control town hall in the full knowledge that his deputies had shown cowardice by not entering the Parkland high school where an armed killer would eventually leave 17 dead. He blamed the NRA and browbeat NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch for pointing out that gun ownership is a constitutional right and that it was law enforcement and not the NRA that failed to heed the scores of warning signs about what was to happen.

Broward County-Coward Sheriff Israel is a gutless wonder, like just about every other person who gains a politically-appointed job. How dare he dictate to Dana Loesch what to think? I wonder if these child protesters would feel any whiff of remorse if (even if it happened) the NRA went away tomorrow, and there was yet another school shooting where weapons are not permitted? A perfect example come think of it, of ‘Hogg’s folly’.
The problem for the Obama Progressive Left is that Trump won. And ever since, they have been scrambling, scratching, clawing to save their own skins. The Deep State understand that they are in the fight of their lives and as the Hildebeast screeched on the night of her defeat – “If that F***ing Bastard (Trump) wins, we are all going to hang from nooses.”
Oh my, what a pleasant thought!
