Yesterday was a historic day for Nancy Pelosi and the American people. And for some freshmen Dems to boot. Perhaps for the first time ever in her pampered life, she got a slap on the hand and was told “NO!” by an adult. It’s always a traumatic moment for a toddler to discover there are limits on what is permissible, so imagine how traumatic and galling it is for a 79 year old toddler.

In a genius move by President Trump Speaker Pelosi was informed that he cancelled the flight ‘so she could stay and negotiate a settlement on the government shutdown.’ In cancelling the flight the President put the real deplorables in their place and exposed a portion of the congressional elite as nothing but perk-grabbing money grubbers who constantly ride on the public dime while many Americans suffer abominably.

But that wasn’t the only problem for Nancy-with-the-laughing-face (sincere apologies to the Frank Sinatra family). After the cancellation the theater of the absurd commenced as the bus which was loaded with members of congress (and had been on the way to the airport) was followed by the press, and began driving in circles because the members on the bus didn’t want to be videoed in such a compromising situation.

Enter the freshmen Dems. To add insult to injury, Matthew Boyle writing in Breitbart News reveals: “Many Democrats – particularly the newly elected freshmen – want to negotiate with Trump on the wall, and they are saying so publicly while expressing their disdain for Pelosi and her fellow leaders,” Boyle writes.

“Freshmen Rep. Jared Golden (D-Me.), is urging his party’s leaders to negotiate with Trump and the Republicans. Democrat leaders and Trump need “to stop hiding and show a little leadership” to bring the longest-lasting federal government shutdown in the nation’s history to an end, he said.”

“Freshmen Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) said “there’s a number of us on the Democratic side who are quite concerned that we’re not working on negotiated positions and taking the bull by the horns and trying to think about what it would look like.” [end]

Some Democrat lawmakers are losing their will to fight on in the ongoing stalemate with President Trump over border wall funding that has partially shuttered the federal government since before Christmas.

The GOP-controlled House of Representatives voted 217 to 185 on Dec. 20 for a spending bill with $5.7 billion for the wall. The measure floundered in the Senate and the partial shutdown began Dec. 22. The Senate remains in Republican hands but the House is now controlled by Democrats.

The president’s negotiations with Democrats over the $5 billion needed to begin construction of the border wall have gone nowhere largely because of Democrat intransigence –leadership in the House refuses even to meet with the president at the White House—and the federal government continues to be partially shut down for lack of appropriated funds. Although pressure on Trump has been growing, the president has vowed to keep the shutdown going as long as it takes to secure funding for the wall.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who barely won the House speakership after an internal party revolt, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), vow to prevent Trump from securing any funding for a wall along the nation’s multi-state border with Mexico.

Pelosi’s lieutenant, House Majority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), said Democrats are solid in their opposition to negotiating with the president on the wall. “We are totally united — totally,” Hoyer reportedly said.

The president’s action in cancelling Pelosi’s military transport yesterday revealed to the country just how these greedy gluttons don’t mind flying on the back of We the People’s dime while boldfaced-claiming to care about the little people. One big secret the congressional elite don’t want the public to know much about is congressional travel.

There have been numerous articles in the past exposing congressional travel costs, but the main stream media plays on the Democratic team now so they can’t take a risk exposing their teammates. They would go after the Republicans in a New York Minute, but this little perk was fully exposed yesterday by the President who additionally informed Pelosi and the gang that she should fly commercial.
