Electoral Shift Still Hounds Dems…

Go ahead, make my…

The continuing insanity emanating from the liberal progressive Democrat Left and their manic ‘Popular Vote’ movement is an abiding indication of the lingering psychosis following their momentous electoral defeat back in November. Their sodden mantra persists imperially in clinging to the falsehood that in order to make sure that all votes matter equally, we need to disenfranchise entire states who vote for a candidate that doesn’t win the popular vote. It makes one wonder if these Leftists ever actually think about what they say, when they seem to be too dense to understand that only the blue states would consider passing laws like these.

The other factor of course, is that there’s no way to know what the final tally would be because absentee ballots are not counted if the margin of victory is greater than the number of those ballots. In any event, it’s irrelevant since Clinton lost the race by 76 electoral votes which is, after all, the US electoral system procedure.

As Russ Vaughn begins to unravel it in today’s American Thinker…

While Donald Trump may be the ostensible target of all the maniacal Democrat political wrath and public protests, the reality of the matter is far more sinister. Truth is, the real targets of all that insane anger and adolescent denial are folks like you and me who voted for him, and even more so, all the inhabitants of those American counties that are displayed in red on this 2016 election map, especially those that actually counted toward Trump’s electoral victory.  Democrats taunt that Clinton won the popular vote, but the truth is Trump won 2,600 counties compared to Hillary’s 500. One hundred of Clinton’s counties were the most populous in America, which gave her that popular vote margin. Without those 100 counties, she would have lost by 11.5 million votes. She was quite clearly the urban favorite, but even more clearly, she and her party were thoroughly rejected throughout the land that lies between the coasts.

Of the 3141 electoral counties in the United States, Trump achieved 3080, Clinton, 57

There is a simple reason for the red and pink counties. Outside the urban areas, there are three primary ways people earn a living. Agriculture, timber, and mineral extraction. Everything the rural folks do to produce food, leather, cloth, lumber, paper, coal, gas, petroleum, uranium, electricity, and everything else that makes it possible for urbanites to sit in air conditioned offices in downtown towers manipulating symbols on computer screens and printing out on all of their reams of paper, is made more difficult by the kinds of politicians that the urbanites elect.

Whether you go to Whole Foods, Safeway, or Costco, most of the food you can purchase is produced in the red and pink counties that gave us President Trump. Like using electricity? Many of the dams are located in pink and red counties. The coal and uranium comes out of those counties. The power plants that burn coal and uranium were made more expensive to build and operate by urban politicians.

Their obstructionism is sending more of our gasoline money to the Muslim Oil Kings, Venezuelan Commie Dictators, and the Nigerian Kleptocrats than is necessary. We CAN drill our way out of the energy crisis if President Trump and the Republican Congress can get the federal government out of the way.

What are we to think when California spends $2 billion on an electric train set in the middle of a farm valley away from daily commuters instead of making sure its dam and irrigation systems can withstand the breaking of a decade-long drought? Every tree ring scientist in the western United States knows that these decade-long droughts are broken by sudden wet winters!

More from Russ Vaughn..

Democrats looking at this map are frightened and that fear breeds their irrational anger, outbursts, and demonstrations, for they can easily see this is no longer nationwide politics as usual. Dems so hate Trump for denying them Hillary that they do not believe our vote has a value equal to their own, which it most likely would not should their totalitarian views ever prevail. But look at our America as it showed itself to be in November, 2016, and it is conspicuously clear that the Democrat party, while operating at the fringes of sanity, is also quite literally operating at the geographic fringes of our nation, with Hawaii being their most distant dependency. A commenter at American Thinker last week noted that Trump voters make up a vast geopolitical entity between Interstate-5 and Interstate-95, which is generally true except for some major urban centers, most college towns and a few counties with Hispanic, black, or Native American majorities.

Surely every Democrat voter (given their self-proclaimed ‘intellectual superiority’) knows that The United States of America uses an electoral college system, and the popular vote generally means nothing in the process? I’ve barely known a one of them that could figure out that without the electoral college, Rhode Island for instance, would NEVER get a say in what president was elected, while California ALWAYS would. But to counter their whine with a little cheese I just reassure them that President Trump did win the popular vote. The national election consists of 50 states plus D.C., of which Trump won 30 to Clinton’s 21 (20 plus D.C.).

The Electoral College was always supposed to be a compact among equals, to produce our joining together as a nation. Needless to say, Democrats generally really hate that “equal” part. It’s more than a little ironic that the party who calls itself Democrats are so flippant about actual democracy.

Never mind. Let’s just get ’em off their whine and feed ’em a little more cheese. Or should that be a LOT more?
