Go ahead, make my…

Rule #1 to all aspiring bloggers, writers, authors, investigators and everyone else parlaying their innate exculpatory genius to anyone and everyone – check, double-check, and (in some cases) triple check the base source of your information to make sure you don’t make an absolute fool of yourself. Unless you’re really, really, famous that is.

Like Bob Woodward (and for that matter, his longtime sidekick and confidante, Carl ‘Deep Throat’ Bernstein).

Being really, really famous allows you great leeway in the difference between writing made up fiction with an invented cast of characters, or convincing your readers that you really are connected to source material from people you would go to the mat for.

Loosely, we call it ‘source-citing’.

A prime example of ‘doing it right’ is Gregg Jarrett’s book, ‘The Russia Hoax’ currently going gang-busters. EVERY detail in the book is carefully noted, footnoted and referenced. That’s EVERY detail. Jarrett uses no ‘unnamed’ sources or hearsay evidence, unlike Bob Woodward, who uses nothing but ‘unnamed’ sources, rumors and innuendos. And for that, the unhinged leftist publishers call Bob Woodward a ‘great journalist.’ A chimpanzee could have written Woodward’s latest book, cheaper and probably more accurately.

Pause for reflection.

Woodward’s fictional books are not sourced. Nor does he use citations to back up any of those invisible sources. Generally he has a last ‘references’ page where he reveals numerous persons that he won’t identify to protect his sources. Now that he’s been ‘outed’ as an Asset, it makes sense that since he is a mouthpiece for the FBI he doesn’t need to identify his sources. Being subservient, as he is, to the Deep State Big Fake News Swamp he simply puts out whatever they want put out.

Now, can anyone tell me what’s wrong with this picture from Drudge?

Let me give you a hint:

• A Tale of Two Cities Charles Dickens – Copies Sold: 200 million.
• The Lord of the Rings J. R. R. Tolkien – Copies Sold: 150 million.
• The Hobbit J. R. R. Tolkien – Copies Sold: 100 million.
• Dream of the Red Chamber Cao Xueqin – Copies Sold: 100 million.

The best seller of all time is the Bible with a whopping 3.9 billion copies – that’s BILLION – and just over the past 50 years. Pardon me for being slightly skeptical of at least two of the claims made about the Bob Woodward book. One has to wonder how many of the 1.15 million ‘sold’ went to the AFL-CIO warehouse as ‘packing supplies’. A ’94-year sales record’ – Really? Mmmmmmm….

It’s déjà vu all over again, in Yogi Berra’s memorable expression: senior unelected FBI officials conspiring with the Washington Post and New York Times to drive a Republican president from office.

Kudos to Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit for spotting a 2014 State Department email from SecState Hillary’s aide Sid Blumenthal, that was declassified and released in 2015. In it, Blumenthal states as a fact that Bob Woodward has been an “FBI asset” since the days of Deep Throat.

Deep Throat revealed himself in 2006 as Mark Felt, who had been the number two official at the FBI, and who was apparently enraged that President Nixon passed him over for promotion to the top spot.  Given his very senior position there, rather like that formerly held by Andrew McCabe, it might not be so surprising if he actively leaked to the Washington Post duo, and formed a mutual relationship between the Bureau and the useful journalists, obtaining revenge while demonstrating the fearsome power of the FBI over elected officials.

It might also explain why Woodward’s latest book, Fear, is such an attack on President Trump.

Thanks to Sara Carter’s latest scoop, we know that the FBI lovebirds Strzok and Page were playing the same game with the same newspapers that broke Watergate via leaks:

A series of text messages released Wednesday reveal that former FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok was in contact with reporters at the New York Times and Washington Post regarding stories they published about the FBI’s investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and President Trump’s campaign during the spring of 2017, according to a series of texts obtained by SaraACarter.com.

The text messages suggest that Strzok, along with his paramour, former FBI Attorney Lisa Page, had been in contact with reporters from both newspapers. Strzok specifically mentioned two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times writer Michael Schmidt his text message to Page.

Strzok wrote, “Also, apparently Times is angry with us about the WP (Washington Post) scoop and earlier discussion we had about the Schmidt piece that had so many inaccuracies. Too much to detail here, but I told Mike (redacted) and Andy they need to understand we were absolutely dealing in good faith with them,” Strzok texted to Page on April 14, 2017. “The FISA one, coupled with the Guardian piece from yesterday.” (The New York Times did not respond immediately for comment. The Washington Post also did not respond immediately for comment.)

Watergate, Woodward & Bernstein, Deep Throat, and … all so resoundingly familiar: unelected senior people in the FBI conspiring with liberal media to harm – and eventually drive out of office – a Republican president whom they hated. Truth as ‘stranger than fiction.’
